Who are we?

The Sharing Quantum Medicine Foundation was set up by Michal Galek-Aldridge, trainee doctor, and Patrick Hidalgo, general practitioner in Zaandam. Our mission is: to stop the pandemic quickly, by testing as often as possible.

Michal did scientific research during the first lockdown in intensive care in Breda, Apeldoorn, The Hague, Amsterdam, Zaandam. The results of this research have been published in the renowned scientific journal The Lancet.

Patrick is busy every day with his normal duties as a doctor. He would like to work to minimize the impact of the pandemic on the patient.

About our quick test

1. Which rapid test is used?

The Roche SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test is used. The test is CE certified. This means that the test is approved for use in the European Union. The test has also been approved by the WHO (World Health Organization).

2. Is the quick test reliable?

The SARS-Cov-2 Rapid Antigen Test from Roche is very reliable. The test has a sensitivity of 96.52% and specificity of 99.68%.

3. How does the test work?

Our healthcare provider comes to your home or work. The healthcare provider is wearing protective equipment. That is a transparent protective hood, filtering mouth masks and gloves and jacket. The healthcare provider will explain the procedure to you. With a cotton swab, moisture is taken from the nasal cavity. You may perceive this as a tickling sensation in the nose.

The cotton swab is placed in a tube. Subsequently the moisture from the nose is mixed with the tester. Finally the nasal fluid and the tester are dripped onto a test strip. After 15 minutes, the healthcare provider reads the result on the test strip.

4. How will I receive the results?

You will receive confirmation of the result by e-mail. If desired, you can receive a Fit-to-Fly certificate.

5. Can I get tested without complaints?

Asymptomatic people can also have themselves tested.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should I do if the corona test is positive?

You must now quarantine, this way the virus will not spread further. You are obliged to follow the rules of the RIVM. You can find the rules here: - https://lci.rivm.nl/informatiepatientthuis For more information, visit the government site: - https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/coronavirus-covid-19/openbaar-en-dagelijk-leven/in-thuisquarantaine-door-corona
Tell the people you have been in contact with that you are infected and are going to be quarantined. If necessary, ask for help from your loved ones and / or your general practitioner. For further questions, please call the national number of the GGD 0800-1351.

2. What happens to the test result if it is positive and I am infected with the corona virus?

We are required by the government to report people with COVID-19 to the GGD. In this way, the GGD can keep an eye on the hotspots in the Netherlands. You can be approached by the GGD for source and contact research.

3. What should I do if the corona test is negative / good?

You don't have corona. You can go to work, school and travel. Please note: the RIVM rules still apply! Keep 1.5 m distance. Do not shake hands. Wash your hands often with soap and water. Wear a mouth mask in public areas. Cough in your elbow. Stay at home as much as possible

4. Can I get tested without complaints?

People without complaints can also have themselves tested.

5. Can I get tested before a trip?

People who are going to travel can have themselves tested with us. If desired, we can provide you with a 'fit-to-travel' certificate with the results of the test. For this we charge € 30,- administration costs. Take a good look at the rules that apply to the country you are traveling to, these vary per country and sometimes per day. In most cases the 'fit-to-travel certificate is required, but the certificate is not always a guarantee that you can travel to every country.

6. My complaints are getting worse, what should I do?

During daytime, go see your GP. After 5.00 pm contact your GP post at the hospital

7. Will my personal data be kept?

If the rapid test is negative (you are not infected), your data will be deleted after 14 days. In case of a positive test, we are obliged by the government to send your data to the GGD for source and contact investigation. Please read the privacy statement for further information regarding your personal data.
